Devdas
Devdas is sent away by his father to develop himself, but when he returns, his father is still not pleased. Devdas and Paro are in love, but Paro belongs to the lower caste and is destined to marry an older widower. Devdas is distraught and decides to leave his home. He turns into an alcoholic womanizer and falls for a courtesan. Before Devdas self-destructs, Paro attempts to encourage him to stop drinking.
