Sue Ellen Crandell, a teenager, is looking forward to her mother's summer vacation. Sue Ellen may party and have a good time while the babysitter looks after her rowdy younger siblings. But then the babysitter passes away, leaving the Crandells cash-strapped. Sue Ellen gets a great job in fashion by lying on her resume about her age and expertise.
