The story takes place in 1398. Kim Min-Jae (Shin Ha-Kyun) is the Joseon Dynasty's supreme commander and the most powerful person in the country. He falls in love for the first time, and he is willing to take chances for her. Jin Hyuk is the King's son, Yi Bang-Won (Jang Hyuk). Even though he aided his father in establishing the Joseon Dynasty, he was not chosen to be the Crown Prince of Korea. In the far future, he still harbors aspirations to become King. He is Kim Min-son Jae's and the King's son-in-law, and he is played by Kang Ha-Neul in this film. Because of his position as the King's son-in-law, he is unable to participate in politics and is only interested in pleasure-seeking activities instead.
