In Candace's opinion, she has never lived up to the high standards set by her mother, fashion mogul Liz Livingstone. Candace is substituted for Liz when a young girl broadcasts a video pleading with her to assist her in planning a unique Christmas party. In the course of her attempts to show herself worthy of the position of business president, Candace meets and falls in love with the girl's uncle, a reporter who is writing an expose on her.
