Chris, a young independent filmmaker from Kerala, is inspired by Louis Malle's 1969 documentary Calcutta and intends to create his own modern version. He relocates to Kolkata with his wife Anita, a film actress, to concentrate on his documentary. While filming for the documentary is already underway, the Corona virus outbreak breaks out in India, and his producer refuses to release the monies that he had agreed to give previously. Chris is trapped inside the leased property in Kolkata with Anita as the government-imposed lockdown begins. Chris plans to make a film about his own marriage without informing Anita.
