Shira is prepared and eager, since this is a dream come true. On Purim, Esther, her twenty-eight-year-old sister, dies during the delivery of her first child, Mordechay. Shira's intended match is postponed due to the family's sadness and grief. Everything changes when Yochay-late Esther's husband is proposed to by a widow from Belgium. Yochay believes it is premature, despite the fact that he recognizes that he will have to seriously consider marrying again sooner or later. When the girls' mother learns that Yochay is considering marrying the widow and relocating to Belgium with her sole granddaughter, she advises Shira marry the widower.
