Finding Forrester
The director Gus Van Sant narrates the story of a young African American guy named Jamal who discovers his skills while living on the streets of the Bronx. Jamal is the protagonist of the film. He meets an elderly author by the name of Forrester by complete chance, and it is Forrester who inspires him to begin writing. Jamal is able to attend a prestigious private school thanks to the assistance of his recently acquired guide.
