When the fleet places in at San Francisco, sailor Bake Baker attempts to revive the fire with his old dancing companion, Sherry Martin, while Bake's pal Bilge Smith romances Sherry's sister, Connie. Yet it's not all smooth sailing-- Bake has a behavior of shedding Sherry's work for her and also, regardless of Connie's desires, Bilge is not all set to settle.
