Funny Boy
An adaptation of Shyam Selvadurai's 1994 unique Amusing Kid, exploring the awakening of sexual identity by a young boy named Arjie. As political tensions escalate to a boiling point in between the minority Tamils and the bulk Sinhalese, a young child matures in a society and also family members that doesn't accept difference outside of societal norms. The movie narrates Arjie's battle to locate balance as well as vanity in spite of the absence of empathy as well as understanding.
