Lauren Greenfield's documentary photography and video projects have focused on youth culture, gender, body image, and affluence during the last 25 years. Film essay and career retrospective, Greenfield examines her wide body of work through a prism of materialism and its growing influence on culture in America as well as around the world. To highlight the widening gap between the rich and poor, her images show that those who can't afford to acquire money instead settle for the trappings of it regardless of their ability to pay for it.
