Ko Chun, the character that Chow Yun-Fat portrays, is a well-known gambler who is known for his extraordinary talent. On the eve of a significant showdown with a well-known Singaporean gambler, Ko unwittingly steps into a trap that was intended for an Indian servant and arranged by Knife, an enthusiastic but average gambler played by Andy Lau. After receiving a blow to the head, Ko experiences amnesia and regresses to a state similar to that of a kid. Knife looks out for Ko and quickly begins to take advantage of Ko's skills in the gambling industry.
