Gran Torino
Walt Kowalski, a widower and veteran of the Korean War, is a grouchy, bigoted, hard-minded, miserable old man who is unable to get along with either his children or the people who live nearby. His prized asset is a 1972 Gran Torino that he meticulously maintains to look brand new. When Walt's neighbor Thao, a young Hmong adolescent who is being coerced by his gang member cousin, makes an attempt to steal his Gran Torino, he resolves to change the behavior of the young man and takes measures to protect Thao and his family from the gangs that are prevalent in their neighborhood.
