Growing the Big One

Emmy Silver (Shannen Doherty) is a radio DJ who lives in Seattle. She has a nice life until she finds out that her grandfather has died. She is shocked to learn that her grandfather has left her his farm in Valleyville, Washington, as well as a lot of debt. She is going there to take care of the details. Emma has to come up with the money to keep the bank from foreclosing on her grandfather's land. If she doesn't, she'll have to see her grandfather's land become a parking lot. Emma wants to follow in her grandfather's footsteps and enter Valleyville's annual pumpkin-growing contest with his prized seeds. She wants to grow the world's largest gourd, too. A $50,000 grand prize could save her farm. With the help of her neighbor, Seth (Kavan Smith), Emma takes on the challenge, but the two end up growing something that will last for a very long time.
