Guest Artist
At Christmastime, Joseph Harris, a famous but disturbed playwright, arrives in a small Michigan town to stage his latest work. A young, aspiring writer greets the cynical New Yorker, challenging his literary idol to become the icon he'd hoped for. Harris has no desire to be a hero to the young man, nor does he want to be a part of Michigan's small-town theater. Harris plans to return to New York on the next train out as soon as he arrives. Desperate to keep his hero in town, the young man must confront his hero and investigate the intricate interplay between youth's dreams and age's wisdom.
