Harry & Snowman
Harry deLeyer, a Dutch immigrant, came to America after WWII and rescued a broken down Amish plow horse from a slaughter truck going for the glue factory. Harry named his horse Snowman and paid $80 for him. Harry & Snowman won the triple crown of show jumping in less than two years, became famous, and toured the world together. Their accidental encounter at a Pennsylvania horse auction saved them both and forged a lifelong bond. Harry, now86, narrates their Cinderella love story as he trains on today's show jumping circuit.
