Hart's War

William McNamara, a fourth-generation Army colonel, is a POW in a cruel German camp. It's a privilege for him to lead his fellow Americans as the highest-ranking American in a prison where it's easy to lose one's honor, all while being watched over by the menacing Luftwafe vetran Colonel Wilhelm Visser. No matter how hard things become, McNamara never gives up the struggle for victory. He plans and waits for his chance to strike back. When a murder occurs in the camp, he has the opportunity to carry out a dangerous scheme. McNamara devises a clever plot to escape and destroy a neighboring munitions plant, enlisting the support of Lt. Tommy Hart, who is unaware of the plan. A hero's resolve helps McNamara carry out his task, but he is finally forced to balance the value of his own life against that of his country when the stakes are so high
