Awkward s He asks his girlfriend Alexis (Brandon W. Jones) (Cassi Thomson). He practices on his best friend, Liz, before the big night (Christa B. Allen). The rules of all his favorite love comedies will get him a “Yes!” Matt believes. Devastatingly, Alexis gently rejects Matt, noting his desire for affection but not a meaningful relationship. Matt binge-watches rom-coms after this unforeseen setback and devises a plan to reclaim Alexis. Lizzy agrees to be Matt's wingman, despite his idea being ludicrous. With Alexis growing apart and Matt's heart elsewhere, the rekindling procedure looks to be working solely to force Matt to face the reality.
