Hud
Hud Bannon is a vicious young man who brings disgrace onto himself and everyone else he comes into contact with. Hud is the perfect representation of a disaffected adolescent, out for fun with no regard for the ramifications of his actions. Between Hud's heartless nature and his severe and very moral father, Homer, there is a bitter conflict of interests. Despite the fact that Hud's nephew Lon admires Hud's deceiving ways, Lon quickly grows tired of Hud's reckless amorality and decides that he cannot bear him any longer. It's safe to say that Hud is a winner in the world of takers and taken. He admits that he is a cheat, but he defends himself by stating that "the legislation was intended to be construed in a lenient manner."
