Human Desire
Jeff Warren, a Korean War veteran who has recently returned to his railroad engineer job, boards at the home of coworker Alec Simmons and is captivated by Alec's lovely daughter. Vicki Buckley, the sultry wife of brutish railroad supervisor Carl Buckley, an alcoholic wife beater with a hair trigger temper and a penchant for explosive violence, immediately attracts him. The compulsively seductive Vicki draws Jeff reluctantly into a shady affair. Buckley begs her to intervene on his behalf with John Owens, a wealthy and powerful businessman whose influence can get him reinstated, after he is fired for insubordination.
