In the video game Imaginaerum, the main character, Tom, is an old composer who is suffering from severe dementia. Because he has been afflicted with the sickness for many years and has regressed into childhood as a result, he remembers almost nothing from his time spent as an adult. In his weak mind, his music, friends, and the entirety of his past, including the memory of his daughter, are a haze. The only thing he has left is the imagination of a youngster when he was 10 years old. It appears as though there is no way to get back what he has already lost as he sinks deeper into the coma.
