This film is about cab driver Lung, who is more than a little frighteningly obsessed with Maggie Cheung's anchorwoman Jenny Tung. He feeds her stuff he overhears while driving, and they eventually meet. He is head over heels in love with her but is rebuffed. A terrible killer is on the run, and you can be certain they will be involved in some way.
