"In the Bedroom" is set in the summer on the Maine coast and explores the inner workings of a family in transition. Matt Fowler is a doctor in his hometown of Maine, and he is married to Ruth Fowler, a music teacher from New York. His kid is having an affair with a single mother from the neighborhood.
