In the not-too-distant future, the aging gene has been turned off. To keep from having too many people, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, but the rest of us have to work for it. A poor young man finds a lot of time, but it's too late to save his dying mother. He runs away from a corrupt police force called "time keepers."
