Invasion of the Body Snatchers

As Matthew Bennell notices that several of his pals are grumbling about their close relatives being unusual, the first adaptation of the paranoid infiltration classic transfers the invasion from a tiny community to San Francisco. Then they deny everything or make stupid explanations when confronted afterwards. As the invaders grow in number and openness, Bennell realizes he and his pals must flee or face the same fate. But who can he trust and who has been kidnapped already?
