People who hunt fur in the Rocky Mountains, like Abel and Henry Iron, are having a hard time making money in a dying business. Following in their father's footsteps, they search for beavers in the mountains and make a small living in the western wilderness. When Abel comes upon a party of Shoshone Indians, a misunderstanding results in the death of one of the Indians and the Iron Brothers fleeing. In the mountains, Abel and Henry run away from the warriors who are after them. They do this together. In the end, they will find out if the bond of brotherhood will be enough to keep them alive.
