"La La Wood" is based on the life of Jiminy Glick, who was first seen on "The Martin Short Show" and later gained (non)critical acclaim for his talk show "Primetime Glick," in which Mr. Glick interviewed a slew of celebrities (usually ending with him verbally and physically insulting/assaulting them).
