King of Beggars

General So, who isn't very smart, wants people to live a lazy, happy life with sex and money. People who are close to Chan (Stephen Chow) are not very smart, but they follow him. Love for a woman makes Chan go and study martial arts at the national exams for Martial Arts Scholars, which are held in Peking. Chan wins the physical test, but before he can be crowned, he is found out to have cheated on the written test. Chan is told to beg. With some help from the supernatural, Chan is able to adapt to his new role as King of the Beggars Association at first. They go into battle against an evil warlord who is part of the Emperor's group. Chan leads them and the Emperor out of the fight and earns their trust.
