King Otto
In the summer of2004, spectators watched in awe as the Greek National Football Team, representing a country that had never before won a single match or even scored a goal in a major competition, defeated the giants of world football to become the most improbable champions of Europe. Otto Rehhagel, known as "King," was a great football coach in Germany. He was largely responsible for this extraordinary victory. After reaching every major victory there was to achieve in Germany, he made the courageous decision to leave everything he knew behind and take a job with the underachieving Greek National Team in a country that was not his own. This is the tale of how two very different cultures met, learned one other's languages, and collaborated to produce a new section of the Greek mythological canon.
