Knife in the Water

Andrzej and Krystyna, husband and wife, nearly hitchhike a young hitchhiker on their way to a day at the lake. Andrzej proceeds to tease the young man after inviting him onto the boat with them; the hitchhiker replies by making overtures to Krystyna. The husband's concern leads in unanticipated consequences as the hitchhiker is unintentionally knocked overboard. This was Roman Polanski's debut feature film.
