Kursk
Barents Sea, 12 August 2000 During a Russian naval exercise, the K-141 Kursk submarine sinks with 118 crew members on board following a major mishap. While the few remaining sailors barely manage to survive, their families demand correct information and a British commander fights to acquire a rescue permit from the Russian authorities before it is too late. However, general incompetence undermines their efforts.
