La Promesse
Igor, 15, and his father Roger operate in the outlying districts of Liege, Belgium, dealing in housing and illegal labor. Their lives are ruled by deception, lies, and swindling. When one of his father's illegal workers is injured on the job and asks Igor to promise to look after his wife and baby, Igor is at a crossroads. He wishes to keep the promise, but the cost is betraying his father.
