Elle Woods, a Harvard Law graduate known for being endlessly cheerful, stylishly adventurous, and notably blonde, is sacked from her law practice because of her aversion to the use of animals in experiments. As a result, she decides to take her battle to the nation's capital. She works as an aide for Congresswoman Victoria Rudd, and she advocates for a measure that would permanently prohibit testing; nevertheless, the doorman of her building is the one who gives her advice on how to get her way on Capitol Hill.
