Legiony
A universal narrative about coming of age in challenging times and adapting to the community. The great history serves as the backdrop for the love story unfolding in the foreground: Józek, a deserter from the Tsarist army who joins the forming Legions, Ola, an intelligence agent for the I Brigade and Women's Leage member, and Tadek, her fiancee, a member of Shooting Team. Many historical personalities appear in the film, in addition to invented characters based on the biographies of genuine legionnaires. Brigadier Józef Pilsudski, Lieutenant Stanislaw Kaszubski, pseud. "King," and others are among them. The film focuses on the Legion's combat trail from 1914 to1916, from the departure from Oleandry to the battle of Kosciuchnowka, and shows the most dramatic cards of the legionary saga, including the renowned onslaught of uhlans at Rokitna-one of the film's most magnificent scenes.
