Lemon Tree
Salma Zidane is a widow who makes a simple living off of her grove of lemon trees in the occupied zone of the West Bank. As a result of the Israeli defense minister and his wife moving in next door, the Secret Service was required to order the destruction of the trees for reasons of national security. The calm and collected Salma seeks assistance from the Palestinian Authority, the Israeli army, and a young attorney by the name of Ziad Daud, who agrees to handle the case. Is the battle between David and Goliath in this parable anywhere close to being a contest?
