Leningrad
Nazi Germany soon besieged Leningrad after its invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941. Kate Davies, a British foreign correspondent who had been evacuated but is now assumed dead, did not make it onto the plane. When Nina Tsvetnova, an idealistic young police officer, arrives in the besieged city of Leningrad to aid her, she joins forces with her to fight for both her own life and that of the people.
