A successful artist recalls the summer of his formative year, 1974, with fond memories. A talented but troubled 18-year-old aspiring artist befriends a brilliant elderly alcoholic painter who has turned his back on not only art but also life. The two form what appears to be a tenuous relationship at first. The child is eager to discover all of the secrets that the master has hidden within his mind and heart.
