Love Comes Softly

This young pioneer woman, named Marty, has just tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend. To begin a fresh chapter in her life, she and her husband Clem set off for the west. However, Clem abruptly dies, and Marty is left alone with a two-month-old child. An elderly widower offers her a marriage of convenience: He wants someone to take care of his daughter Missie, while she is in desperate need of both food and money. As a short-term fix, she accepts his idea.
