Love in Moreno Valley

James, a multi-cultural Californian suburb, hides in his room and plays guitar to avoid his emotionally disturbed single-fantasy father's baseball fixation and amorous life. A wild boy, Abe, and James' antics attract unfavorable attention, much to the annoyance of their eccentric, strict headmaster, Mr. Durante, are reunited in the tenth grade at Vista Christian High School. But Abe's outlandish actions are damaging James' chances with Carla. Principal Durante punishes the duo by making them perform the weekly chapel assembly.
