Love's Unending Legacy

Missie three years later: she is a single mother as a result of her husband Willie getting shot during a poker scuffle three years earlier. She and her sister Maddy return to her parents, Clark and Marty, for a period of time. Even after finding a new house and a new teaching post that she loves, Missie has lost all faith in herself, which is restored by a fortuitous meeting at her father's church, where she adopts homeless orphan Belinda Marshall.
