Madagascar
Alex the lion, the primary attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo, is the king of the urban jungle. Together with his best buddies Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo, he has spent his entire life in happy captivity before an admiring audience and with regular food given. Marty, unable to leave well enough alone, escapes to explore the globe with the aid of a few industrious penguins, as he is unable to be content with the status quo.
