Marisa Ventura is a single mother who is going through tough times. She lives in New York City, where she works at a luxurious hotel, and she has the hope that one day she and her small son would have a better life. When Christopher Marshall, a senatorial candidate and hotel visitor, first meets Marisa, he believes she is an affluent socialite. This meeting sets in motion a chain of unfortunate events. Following a magical evening spent together, the two discover that they are head over heels in love with one another. But after Marisa's secret is out in the open, there is a chance that their differences in class and social rank would drive them apart. Is it possible for two individuals who come from completely different worlds to put aside their differences and find each other and find happiness?
