Man on the Roof

While in the hospital, a police officer is murdered with a bayonet. The investigation team, led by Martin Beck, quickly discovers that the man had frequently abused suspects as well as civilians, but that any complaints had been ignored due to his colleagues' misguided loyalty. Because of the killer's volatile mind, Beck needs to solve the case quickly before more people are harmed.
