It's never simple to fall in love. The chances are limited for Ravi Patel, an Indian-American first generation. His ideal bride is stunning, intelligent, witty, family-oriented, compassionate, and Indian, as is customary (though hopefully raised in the US). Oh, and her surname should be Patel, because Patels in India generally marry Patels. So, at the age of30, Ravi breaks up with his American fiancée (who is otherwise wonderful for him but for her red hair and American name) and embarks on a worldwide hunt for another Patel yearning to be loved. He enlists his mother's support, visits a Patel convention in the United States, then flies to India during wedding season. This comedy, which is witty, honest, and genuine, tackles the questions that we all have: What is love? What exactly is joy? What's more, how are we going to track them down?
