Milada
Milada Horáková was the subject of a communist show trial, and this is her story. She was one of the first victims of the communist rule in Czechoslovakia, and she was a woman of great strength and will. She was an outspoken opponent of the communist takeover in 1948, yet she did not flee the country. Then she was arrested and put on trial for treason on spurious charges in a sham trial that was broadcast on the radio and shown on film. However, the film also goes back in time a little further in Horáková's life to the late 1930s, when the communists took over the country from the Nazis.
