It was in the original Mimic that biologist Susan Tyler and her research associates came up with a species of "Judas" bugs and put them into the environment, where they were supposed to "mimic" the diseased roaches. They were supposed to get into the roaches' dirty habitats and get rid of the disease. Plan: It worked well until the bugs evolved to look like their next prey, humans! It turns out that the giant cockroaches are back, and this time they've evolved to look like humans.
