Hanzo Hasashi is exiled to the agonizing Netherrealm following the violent death of his family by stone-cold mercenary Sub-Zero. There, in exchange for his servitude to the malevolent Quan Chi, he is granted the opportunity to punish his family – and is reincarnated as Scorpion, a lost soul hell-bent on vengeance. Lord Raiden returns to Earthrealm and assembles a squad of elite fighters — Shaolin monk Liu Kang, Special Forces officer Sonya Blade, and action star Johnny Cage – an unlikely band of heroes with one shot to preserve humanity.
