Murder, My Sweet

Gumshoe Mr. Moose Malloy hires Philip Marlowe to search down his ex-girlfriend, who has been missing since the death of his mother. His other job involves escorting a sleazy playboy around town, buying back some stolen jewelry. When the transaction results in the murder of the playboy, Marlowe is unable to leave the matter alone and quickly discovers that it is connected to Malloy's death. Because of a strange blonde who draws him deeper into a complex web of intrigue, the detective finds his own life in more danger as the investigation progresses.
