Ocean of Pearls
Racists often look at AMRIT SINGH because he is Sikh and has a full beard and turban. In fact, when he sees that his dream job as Chief of Surgery at a cutting edge transplant center is going away because of his looks, Amrit breaks with tradition and cuts his hair. This is just the beginning of a series of compromises Amrit will have to make as he deals with hospital politics and health care problems. He will hide this decision from his girlfriend and his family in Toronto. His compromises led to the death of a patient. Amrit starts to think about the value of the religious traditions he had turned away from.
