Cathy, the character that Deneuve portrays in the film, is a sassy grandma who, on the same day that she discovers her company is on the edge of bankruptcy and is deceived by her partner, decides to hit the road. During her journey throughout France, which lasts for a week, she spends time with a grandchild she is only vaguely familiar with and attends a reunion for women who have previously held the title of Miss Brittany.
