On the Roof

Song, a 20-year-old Vietnamese living in Prague, hoped for a better future in Europe. However, he is now confined in a marijuana grow house in a Vietnamese section of Prague and lives the life of a modern slave. The area is being swarmed by cops. Song flees to the rooftop of a condo building in a nearby neighborhood, where he collapses. Mr. Rypar, who is 78 years old, is a solitary man. He has a great dislike for the current world and prefers to live in the past. Rypar climbs to the roof, where he encounters Song, who is wailing on the very edge of the roof, and the story begins.
